I highly recommend Goodiel Electric. Glenn is professional, on time, and does good clean electrical work at a fair price.
As an owner of a Home Management and Real Estate Company… it is important to have someone reliable, responsible and someone who shows up when scheduled. My customers depend on me and I depend on my service providers. I have been using Glen since I started my business and have found Glen to be dependable and honest. I recommend him to my customers.
As a tiling contractor, working in Port St. Lucie, I have had the pleasure of working on projects where Glenn Goodiel was also at work. He was conscientious in his work and courteous enough to take care not to damage my work in progress. That courtesy was much appreciated. The end result was that the homeowner got quality workmanship from both his electrician and tiling contractor. A win-win for all involved.
“Glenn is a top-notch electrician. He quickly fixed the power problem we were having in our computer room. I’ve called him many times and have always been happy with his work.”
Found Goodiel Electric on Craigslist. Glenn showed up at scheduled time for job. Work was done in a professional/prompt manner and looking clean when completed. We will be using him in future when the need arises. Thanks!
We highly recommend Glen as an electrician who comes with short notice vs. the usual electrical local company which tells you that maybe they could fit you into their schedule in 3 weeks!
He took care of our needs efficiently and expertly.
We have had him return to do other electrical items.
We cannot recommend him more. He is dependable and fits each customer into his schedule very promptly.
Without a doubt, he is our “go to” electrician.
I had been trying to get an electrician to come and install some outside lighting around my home for more than a year, but no one ever showed up, until I found Glenn Goodiel. I left a message on his VM, and he very quickly returned my call, then came out to look at the job, within a week he was back at my home installing my outside lighting, he did and outstanding job, very professional, his work is neat, and top notch, he used the best materials, and was completely upfront about his pricing and cost, and he had great suggestion about how to do the job better, and cheeper. Glenn is certified in the top of the electrical contractor ranks, and has many years in the electrical contracting industry. You will not be sorry by calling Glenn, He is also a very nice, local Florida native.
We had some serious ground and nuetral wiring issues with our 60 year old small house in Jensen Beach, Glenn was the right man for the job, between his extensive knowledge and state of the art tracing tools, he was able to pinpoint all the issues and get everything resolved in a timely manner, we highly recommend Glenn and will be recommending him to anyone who asks for an electrical contractor reference.

Standby Generator for Hurricane Season
Think “Standby Generator” for the Next Hurricane Season.
The 2015 hurricane season has officially ended. Florida residents made it through unscathed. Coming into the 2015 hurricane season, Florida had gone a record 10 years without a land-falling hurricane of category 3 or higher. For the fourth year in a row, Treasure Coast residents got a quieter hurricane season with fewer storms than normal. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicted six to 11 named storms from the beginning of June to the end of November with the possibility of three to six becoming hurricanes.
In fact, the season ended with 11 named storms formed and four hurricanes, two of which became major hurricanes. No hurricanes made landfall in the United States this year, but two tropical storms struck the northeastern coast of South Carolina and Texas, respectively.
The why of it all seems to be beyond us all. Factored into this years forecast was the presence of El Niño in the Pacific, which NOAA says results in cooler than average ocean temperatures that tend to dampen the formation of hurricanes in the Atlantic.
But using the hashtag “#ItOnlyTakesOne”, the National Hurricane Center cautioned that “A below-normal season doesn’t mean we’re off the hook. As we’ve seen before, below-normal seasons can still produce catastrophic impacts to communities.” They were referring to the 1992 season in which there were only seven named storms but the first, Hurricane Andrew, developed into a category 5 hurricane that devastated South Florida. So, Treasure Coast residents should take that warning to heart.
Hurricane Preparedness.
Of course, it doesn’t take a hurricane to knock out your power or knock down your trees, as victims of tornadoes and other weather events well know. Anyone who lived through such hurricanes as Katrina and Sandy likely remembers going for days or weeks without electricity. That is why interest in standby generators has surged.
Standby generators offer a steadfast solution to extended outages. Unlike portable generators, they’re installed permanently on a concrete pad. Because they’re connected directly to your home’s electrical panel and powered by an external fuel supply, such as natural gas, liquid propane, or diesel, they can provide uninterrupted backup for days.
Smaller, air-cooled essential-circuit units are slightly larger than portable generators and can energize just a few circuits at a time. Larger, liquid-cooled whole-house systems will do just that. They’ll comfortably power an entire home.
Standby generators have the advantage over portable generator. They can switch on automatically when your power goes off, eliminating the hassle of refueling and offering hundreds of hours of uninterrupted run-time. But, they are costly, complicated machines. Some of these machines can cost more than $20,000 installed. And some are the size of a small car.
Standby Generators Installation is not for rookies.
Hire a professional to assess not only your load needs, but also the logistics of installing the generator at your home. If you’re planning on connecting to your local natural gas system, you’ll need a high-pressure, high-volume line, which isn’t available in some towns. If it is, you’ll probably have to pay your utility a fee to access it.
Installing a standby generator is no DIY project. It requires advanced electrical and plumbing skills, as well as knowledge of local building codes. You’ll also need permits before you start and inspections when you’re done. Because of these complexities, professional installations can sometimes triple the cost of a standby generator.
